CH Tall Oaks Spice of Tippecanoe

Ivy joined our family from Tall Oaks Newfoundlands in Virginia (Thanks to John and Ruth Tennant and Marsha Aldrich!) to complete her championship "down south". Ivy (Tall Oaks Spice of Tippecanoe) finished in style by going Winners Bitch & Best of Winners for a 4 point major at the Greenville Kennel Club Show summer 2005 in Greenville, SC. She has gorgeous flowing movement and a classic newf head and profile.
Adapting quickly to life filled with kids and cats, Ivy has positioned herself as nanny to the children. As the pictures in her gallery so aptly demonstrate, she has formed a special bond with the youngest of the three little boys in the Mountain to Sea Newfoundlands clan.
Gavin, age 4, claimed her as "my dog" the day she arrived. Ivy will happily follow Gavin on a loosed leash around playgrounds, ball fields, and anywhere else he can dream up to explore. She is a happy dog who truly loves people and once again, exemplifies the true newfy personality that the breed standard refers.
Ivy is littermate to Miss Mia. When the two girls were reunited, they greeted each other as though they had never been separated (it had been two years!). Their mother, Firewater's Bobbi Ann Mason, is a typey bitch owned by Marsha Aldrich of Tippecanoe Newfoundlands. Czar, CH Fleur de Lis To Be Bazaar, is a Multiple group winning dog that has produced many gorgeous puppies, like Miss Mia and Ivy. Czar has a gorgeous classis head and wonderful movement.
After completing her championship, and some soul searching, it was decided that Ivy needed a home where she was the special one. Living in your sister's shadow is never good, and Mia the Princess cast a BIG one. A home, with three little boys of it's own claimed Ivy as their special dog. She has taken over the position of Her Highness, the Queen, all the way in Texas. Here at Mountain to Sea we tearfully said goodbye, but know through our frequent photo updates that Ivy (now Tess) is being loved.... just like she deserves!
