CH Mtn-To-Sea’s To HeckAndBack

CH Mtn-To Sea's To HeckAndBackBianca, Mia’s daughter, is the personification, (or to make up a new word, canine-ification) of the Newfoundland definition of temperament. She is sweet, eager to please, has never met a stranger not deserving of a big wet kiss. Her kids (all five of them!) are the joys of her life. She enjoys a dog show, but truly loves taking up as much room as possible across the kitchen floor. As a breeder, one hopes to create a newfoundland that acts like a newf, looks like a newf, and can work like a newf…. Bianca scores on all three! She truly is what people talk about when describing the ideal newfie personality.

As far as appearances go, Bianca is by all estimations an enormous girl- bone, height, and lovely expression bundled up in a giant newfoundland package. Her side movement is flowing, with nice shoulder and rear angulation. She stands over 30 inches at the shoulder, and towers over the other girls in the ring. Who said newfs are getting smaller?

She finished her AKC Championship in Atlanta, Georgia by taking five point major as Winner’s Bitch breeder owner handled in summer of 2007. She completed her OFA’s (Hips-good, Elbows- normal, Heart-clear, Patellas-normal) and went out on a breeding lease to respected Honey Lane’s Newfoundlands in Illinois.  Owner, Kelli LePore, in summer 2008, bred her to BIS Int’l CH Fairweather’s a Great Pretender.

Then, Bianca came home to North Carolina, and we teamed up with Vu Nguyen in spring 2009 to breed her to World Cup Winner 09, BIS, BISS Multi CH Good As Gold Ammalamual Del Basabura otherwise known as Nacho.  This wonderful Spanish boy and Bianca gave us 7 wonderful pups that we are excitedly watching grow up.

In the fall of 2009, Bianca took her career on stage, starring as Nana in Asheville Community Theater’s Production of Peter Pan.  Although she was not fond of Mr. Darling, AKA Capt. Hook ( he yelled at her and the children EVERY night! ) she completely relished her life as an actress….. and 22 performances later, missed going to the theater when the show ended.
