CH Mtn-To-Sea’s A Stitch In Time

CH Mtn-To-Sea's A Stitch In TimeCH Mtn-To-Sea’s A Stitch In Time (Cypress Bay’s Imat Cornerbrook x Tippecanoe’s Mt To Sea Mia) Stitch loves life…. Simple words to describe an exuberant happy dog that bounces through life, kissing everyone in his path. Stitch was owned and loved by Jennifer Shupert of Ohio, and Dionne Zick Reep of Mountain To Sea.

Early on, Stitch had some very nice Confirmation wins from the six to nine month puppy classes, going Winners Dog under judge Richard Lashbrook for two points, and Best of Winners under judges Jean Fournier and Susan Malinowski also for 2 points apiece in spring of 2006. Then he hit a growth spurt… tall and GANGLY so Mom Jennifer graciously consented to send Stitch south for a few months to grow up some, play with his sister, and head to some dog shows in the south. In Knoxville, TN November 2006, Stitch went Best of Winners for another point. In the Concord, NC shows, Stitch went Reserve Dog three days in a row to the major! Stitch finished in Winter 2007 by winning three majors in 4 days! He really is a champion.

Stitch has been handled expertly by Lara Spears, and continues to keep us laughing with his antics and silly sense of humor. He is a Mick/Mia son (see pedigree), and brings qualities of both parents. His head and expression are truly fantastic. He is medium boy with nice bone, a wonderful square front, and floating movement. We were all excited by his hip x-rays that were submitted to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals—The results came back EXCELLENT!

Stitch then went to live with Ginny Graham of Bee Creek Newfoundlands, and sired several very nice litters.  Notable of these breedings is Honeylane’s Do Something Great, aka Mojo.  Mojo at 21 months earned both his Draft Dog, and Companion Dog.  He had already earned his Water Dog at ten months, and a placement in Puppy Sweeps at the Newfoundland National in 2009.  Owners Katie and Matt Sidesinger are well on there way to a VN before his second birthday.  Another notable pup of Stitch’s is our own Stella, national placement, majors behind her, and a Junior Handler dog for a ten year old…. these are the sort of puppies that Stitch can produce.

Stitch is heading to the west coast to continue his specials career with Breeder/Mentor Nancy Stewart of Firewater Newfoundlands.  We look forward to the next chapter for Stitch.
